Sweet singletrack at Buffalo Creek, CO
I’ve been hearing about these flowy trails for years, and I finally got a chance to ride ’em. Very nice.
Where: Buffalo Creek Mountain Bike Area, about 40 minutes southwest of Golden on highways 285 and 126.
Who: Me, Brett and Farid. Both of these guys are strong and quick. I was way off the back on the climb.
Route: Gashouse > Charlie’s Cutoff > Homestead > Sandy Wash. About two hours of riding.
Up: Moderate climb up a fire road then a twisty/rolling singletrack. Mostly middle ring.
Down: Fast and flowy. There are almost no rocks, but there are many turns — many of them loose and tricky. Good stuff.

those trails are SWEET! i love the spooky burned up forrest fire sections… the trails are very single speed friendly too.
You could rock these trails very well on a hardtail, even a rigid one. I think the limiting factor is the looseness.
This place must be amazing when it’s wet.
Good times! Buffalo Creek goes to 11 with some moisture.
Nice tights, you trying to pull chicks or something?
