Pro BMX Skills: Progress!

I am super stoked to be back working on the BMX technique book.

Today I finished rough layouts of the first section, which deals with selecting, dialing in and riding your bike. The chapters so far are preface/intro, equipment, position/braking, cornering, manuals/hops, pumping and jumping. This is enough to get you ripping on your BMX bike (or any bike, really).

The second section will specifically cover BMX racing: starting/sprinting, riding track obstacles, how the races work, race tactics and training.

Nice to see you back into this book. I have a 5 year old that has been loving BMX and can’t wait to read him this book for bed time! (that and the old man needs help with manualling through doubles 🙂

    Right on!

Today I roughed out the start/sprint chapter. In it Coach Greg Romero (coach to Mike Day and Jill Kintner) demonstrates start and sprint form. Tons of detail, lots of images. I am super stoked!!!

It was great to get an email from you about the book. I can’t wait to get it and will be pumping it at my local track. Thanks for keeping us posted.

Great to see the progress on the book I’m VERY interested in. My elder son (soon to be 7 years old) is preparing for his first full BMX season. This book should be really helpful, since Your first book completely changed my own bike riding. If there would be an interest for russian or latvian translation for the book I`ll be glad to offer my help.
