Lyons Bike Park: Photos from Sunday’s dig/ride sesh

We rounded out the rollers, fixed the tables and did some general cleanup.

And we rode.

And it was excellent.

Thanks again to everyone who came out. What a great day.

Re-shaping Table #2. Check out the plate tamper. That thing is 180 pounds of earth-packing love.

The original rollers were too small and disruptively un-smooth. Steve from HatRock Excavating dumped a load of dirt on each one, then we spread it like cake frosting. Mmm … good.

Oompa … loompa … We had a small army raking and shaping. Bonus points: Can you spot special guest star Abby Hippely? She and Ariel Lindsley rolled the Yeti van from NorCal.

It’s all coming together. View from the start hill.

Riders test the lines. I check the flow.

After a few runs, the tabletops were hitting great. Nice overview by Farid.

The rollers are super fast! That’s me extending into the trough.

If you get good backside on Table #1, Table #2 is all yours.

This one speaks for itself.

Lee if you could be so kind as to teach me the everything I would greatly appreciate it. I think we might help judge for a few before we have to roll out to a show at 6. we should be there early in the morning though to help get everything all set up and rip the course.
