Build/ride session at Darner’s ranch

The snow is gone, and the racetracks need love from rakes, brooms and shovels. Come on out this Saturday.

Rudy Unrau and Steve Wentz battle dual slalom style.

What: Clean up the Original 4X and dual slalom courses. Ride for a while. Get some gate practice. Keith says most of the snow blew away rather than melted, so there is very little mud on the property.

When: This Saturday, April 5, starting at 9:30 a.m. This ‘event’ takes the place of the first Yeti Spring Series, which was cancelled because of snow.

Bring: Your dirt tools, especially push brooms. Food and drinks. Your bike. You can drive up to the courses, but if you exceed 15 mph you will be asked to leave.

Camping: Yes. There will be a fire. Heh heh, fire!

Why: It’ll be a fun day, and it will help Keith — a man who helps all of us by providing this sweet venue.

How to get there:
– Take Highway 285 south from Denver 1.5 hours to Johnson Village.
– Follow 285 south for about 5 miles.
– The gate is on the right side, across the street from Chalk Creek Campground
