Pump track build in Saginaw, MI this weekend

Hi all, I’m heading to Saginaw, MI to build a pump track this weekend. We sure could use some help!

What: Help us build a pump track. Pump tracks are continuous loops of rollers and berms that riders can ride without pedaling. Pump tracks are great for skills, build incredible fitness and they are super fun for all ages, levels and styles of riders.

Where: Haithco Recreation Area in Saginaw Township. Address is 2121 Schust

When: Friday and Saturday, July 23 and 24. If you can help Thursday evening, that will be great. I will be out all day Thurs-Sat, and I’ll have a little time to dig/ride Sunday morning. Come help for as little or long as you like.

Who: Everyone who is stoked on riding, and creating a great community resource. Lee wrote the book on pump track building (Welcome to Pump Track Nation), and he has build numerous tracks for individuals, events and governments. He is flying in from Boulder, CO for this build. the track will come together quickly — but we need help.

Bring: Hand tools (shovels, rakes, tampers, etc.), gloves, drinks, snacks and a willingness to work. Oh, and bring your bike. We should be riding by Saturday afternoon.

Track design: We are building my “Superior Plus” design, which is an improved version of the track I built in Superior, CO. This design has been used around the U.S. and even in Europe. It is sweet.

Here are vids from Superior. The Saginaw track will be a bit bigger and have more options.
