PUMP TRACK BUILD/RIDE IN TAOS, NM THIS WEEKEND

People have been roaming the Taos area for more than 14,000 years. The Town of Taos was incorporated in 1934. 75 years later, Taos joins the Pump Track Nation. Come on out. Let’s dig and ride.

International Standard pump track. Suitable for UCI and Olympic competition.

What: We’re building a sweet pump track. International Standard layout, with outside loop and figure-8 crossover options. This is the first phase in a more ambitious project. The Town is providing dirt and earth-moving equipment. We’re providing the labor and love.

Where: Taos Youth and Family Center, in the open field north of the skate park.

When: I’ll be out there all day this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Main dig/ride session is Saturday. Please come out whenever you can. If we get enough labor, Sunday will be a ride/clinic session.

Bring: Tools—shovels, hoes, rakes, tampers, wheelbarrows, buckets, whatever you have—your bike and your derring-do.

This will be super fun!
