Petition: One-way bike trails in Jefferson County, CO

The Colorado Downhill Cycling Collective has been lobbying Jefferson County (which includes the city of Golden) to create one-way trails for downhill riding. The goal: To minimize user conflict. Kent Setsma and Dave Cohen have jumped through every hoop and acted like pros through the entire process. Now it seems the county doesn’t believe downhill/freeride is a viable user group.

The CDCC encourages interested trail users to sign an online petition. It takes just a minute to fill out, and it’s right here.

Freeride / Downhill is a very viable user group. Please allow one way trails to be built. Bootleg Canyon in Boulder City Nevada is a prime example of a ucess story like this.

Lee – this needs to get to more people. I will ask Matt if we can use the SMBA mailing list. Anyway we can get it to IMBA or BOA? I am sure they must be aware of it, but I’ve not received anything from either. We are all behind this one! Thanks for bringing it live on your site!
