For sale: Sweet 2007 S-Works Tricross

Sick CX bike for cheap!
Budget race bike.
Dialed backup bike.

Carbon frame and fork. Ultegra drivetrain. $1,200.

Friends,

It pains me to say this, but I am selling my beloved 2007 S-Works Tricross. This bike is so quick … and smooth … and so shreddable. Road, trainer, cyclocross, dirt roads, light trail … I love riding it!

So, you might be asking, why are you selling it?

Shoulders. Mine are just plain finished. I can make them work in a mountain bike riding position, but they hurt like hell on the drop bars. So it’s time for someone else to enjoy this beauty.

Frame and fork: Size 56 2007 S-Works Tricross carbon – ridiculously quick and magically smooth carve beast

Drivetrain: God’s own Shimano Ultegra. 34/50 up front, 11-28 out back.

Brakes: Avid cantis. Powerful and plenty of mud clearance.

Wheels: Sun Accelerator – pretty light and very strong

Tires: Specialized Captain CX. They don’t make ’em like this any more, but these tires are the racers’ secret weapon. Fast and super grippy in the turns. I have a stash. Heck, I run this tire on my hardtail MTB.

Condition: Since most of this bike’s life has been spent on a trainer, it’s in great shape. The bike has been tuned and rides perfectly. The water bottle bosses in the down tube have pulled out due to shredding (but you don’t need a bottle there for CX). This bike has normal scratches from tender loving shred.

Weight: 19 pounds (that’s with Shimano DH pedals; you can go lighter)

Price: $1,200

Sorry about your shoulders. As Bill Clinton would say, “I feel your pain.” (Bite lower lip.) I don’t know if Dane shared this video with you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btMNH1EDJN8

It’s my shoulder story. I played 15 years of contact sports (football, rugby) with reckless aggression as a younger man. My shoulders were toast. My left shoulder was bone on bone, my right shoulder had a massive labral tear. I had hemicap surgery 3.5 years ago on the left, and my shoulder feels great. There’s nothing I can’t do now. I can hook you with the Arthrosurface rep for more info. Just let me know.
