STIFF BAD. FLUID GOOD.

Today I prepared this photo-sequence-comparison for the book Pro BMX Skills, and I just have to share.

This concept is a key part of my clinics. It’s fun to see it on paper.

Most road and mountain bikers ride stiff. Fluid is better.

How many times did you have to try to ride that roller “stiff”? SOO hard to do (once you’ve learned how to ride more fluid), huh?!

As you know, shooting technique stuff is so tricky.

You have to do it just the right way, with every part of your body perfect … or sometimes you have to do it completely wrong (which is even harder!)

    Remember this shoot?

Getting you to rail turns on that loose gravel—and do it wrong—was like pulling teeth.

Come on Bobbi, we’re losing light …

    :)

So which picture of Bobby is wrong or are they just examples?

In that situation, bike more than body is most right. Body more than bike is most wrong.
