LYONS OUTDOOR GAMES DJ CONTEST

Last Saturday’s outdoor festival in Lyons, CO included kayak events, a bike rodeo, trials shows and a sweet dirt jump comp.

A few sets of jumps were built in an open field in the heart of town. Local riders are lobbying for the city to expand the area into an official bike play park. Pump Track Nation!

View from the roll-in. Nick Sim[sick!] gets some.

The scene.

Joey Cordova his brother Matt were killing it.

AJ spots his landing.

What normal riders balk at, competitive DJers braaap over.

Whether on a snowboard or a bike, Zach Lewis is always fun to watch.

Yellow has been doing this longer than many of you have been alive, and he’s still rocking. Check out: Yellow Designs Stunt Team

Nick looked great in practice.

Joey with the backflip.

Matt Cordova won $250 for his sweet style.

And the real heros …

Groms were everywhere. Dirt jump parks are where skate parks were 15-20 years ago. This is a great time to be a rider!
