Goings-on at the Gunbarrel jumps

I'm a lucky kid. Only six minutes from my house -- by bike, with a Labrador retriever -- is Eaton Park, a dirt-jump spot dedicated by the city of Boulder. (Map) Most people call the spot "Gunbarrel" after one of the access streets, which is cool with me because "Gunbarrel" seems way more core than "Eaton."

Anyway, I was goofing off last night when the sun hit the Front Range and the light turned perfect. Time to stow the SX and whip out the 1D!

I'm stoked on this. Nice light, cool set and Mark and Adam doing their thing. Click for extra-bigness.

Mark Caminiti is Gunbarrel's chief architect and head dirt mover. I've seen him with a shovel plenty of times, but this is the first time I've seen him ride. Nice. He was charging that big line like he built it -- oh, he did build it.

Richard is a stylish character. Remember kids, wear your helmets.

Adam Heavenor is a frequent digger and regular customer in the big air department. Watch that P.1 fly!

The little 10-pack isn't as dramatic as the main set, but a left turn after No. 6 tests your skill.
